Bringing Magic to Your Event
01 November 2012
This month we partnered with Sternberg Clarke to demonstrate to you, our event audience that magic can be creative. We know what you are thinking…..rabbits out of hats? Stay with me on this one, you know we are better than that!
3 of Sternberg Clarke’s top magicians created bespoke magic for 3 of London’s most themed venues and you can view the video’s right here on the Event Magazine website, not only that but you can vote for your favourite and win the chance to have a magician for your own event this season: http://www.eventmagazine.co.uk/Competitions/article/1157166/Win-magician-next-event/
As magic month is coming to an end, we speak to Mr Adam Sternberg himself to find out what this month has really been all about…
‘We wanted to use this month to show that there’s more to magicians than rabbits, hats, waistcoats and wands; that there are as many unique variations of magic as there are types of jazz, and using them correctly at events can create the kind of magical experiences we all want for our guests.
Close-up magic, for instance, is great for getting groups of people talking – perfect for networking events when you want to draw people together. What stage magic lacks in the intimacy of close-up, it makes up for in high impact, large scale spectacle.
Some magicians perform in character; others use costumes and period props to fit a theme like say, Victorian Circus or Winter Wonderland.
Magic can be used to reflect the strength of a brand; magicians can incorporate products into their acts, tricks can tell a story in a way that’s more memorable than a presentation or a speech… and that’s what we want all of our events to be in the end – memorable.’
