Fun Days in the Urban Jungle
18 March 2016
Family fun days are a great way to reconnect with your staff and are offered at lots of theme parks and historic castles across the country. We at Merlin Entertainments host family fun day events at all of our theme parks including Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, LEGOLAND, Chessington World of Adventures and even Warwick Castle! This year however, Merlin Events London have launched an urban alternative to suit central London companies not wanting to travel far – it’s also all indoors!! Companies need to be focusing on ensuring their events are inclusive for all audiences, and ensuring the mixture of family and adult entertainment is vital. Organising a family fun day with a focus on kids will disengage part of your team immediately, whereas the Christmas party with free flowing alcohol is not everyone’s idea of fun either. With this in mind Merlin Events have created the perfect solution.
Located next to the London Eye, County Hall has four interconnecting oak panelled rooms called the Riverside Rooms. This year you can host your family fun day or fun day as I like to call them, in the Riverside Rooms, right in the middle of some of London’s top Merlin attractions. Arrive in the morning and grab a coffee and bacon roll, drop your bag in the coat check and collect your tickets. You can select two priority tickets from Madame Tussauds London, Shrek’s Adventure!, the London Dungeons, Lastminute.com London Eye or Sealife London Aquarium. The attractions offer something for all ages so everyone will be happy.
Come lunch time when you’re in need of a rest the Riverside Rooms will provide you with the perfect oasis away from the hustle & bustle of tourists where you can enjoy a BBQ lunch presented by top London caterer Food by Dish. If you’re lucky enough to have chosen a scorching day you can even take your lunch away and soak up some of the rare London rays in Jubilee Gardens situated next door, right under the London Eye.
Once you’ve refuelled you will be ready to hit your second attraction of the day! But that’s not all, to wrap up your day in a civilised style; afternoon tea will be served in the Riverside Rooms with their amazing views over Westminster and the Houses of Parliament providing a stunning backdrop. What better way to end a fun packed day on the Southbank!
I hope you agree this Fun Day has far wider appeal than the standard theme park family fun day and the Southbank location in central London means no worries about coaches and moving guests out of town.
With prices starting from £69 +VAT it’s a cost effective solution for groups of all sizes from 50 to 1000.
